IL MUBIT
One museum, one Italian story
It was born in the heart of Bologna, inside the historic PalaDozza, to preserve and tell the story of basketball memory.
Its home is no coincidence: the PalaDozza is an iconic place, the setting for legendary games and a point of reference for generations of fans. It is here that a cultural project takes shape, celebrating basketball as part of Italy’s sporting, human and social heritage.

MUBIT?
Because basketball is not read about, it is lived
Italian basketball is an invisible thread linking generations, cities and hearts. It is made of achievements that have crossed the decades, becoming quickened heartbeats and shared memories.
MUBIT was created to give all this a home:

We celebrate the memory of Italian National Team basketball by bringing to light the stories of the figures who made the blue jersey great.

GET HERE
MUBIT can be easily reached from the main motorway exits and the ring road by following the signs for the city centre.
The area is close to the restricted traffic zone ”ZTL”, so it is important to check access times and entry points before arriving.
MUBIT is well connected by the city bus network, with several lines stopping in the surrounding streets and quick connections from the Central Station.
