MUSEUM OF ITALIAN BASKETBALL
MUBIT
The museum dedicated to the history of Italian basketball opens its doors in Bologna
MUBIT is housed inside the PalaDozza, a symbolic venue in Italian basketball, and tells the story, celebrates the achievements and honours the figures who made this sport great in our country. It is not just a museum: it is an immersive experience, an emotional and cultural journey about passion, teamwork and identity.
AN APPOINTMENT WITH HISTORY
DISCOVER THE EXHIBITION

From 18 April 2026
“ITALBASKET, OLTRE 100 ANNI DI UN INFINITO AZZURRO”
One jersey, one colour, one identity.
From 1921, the year the Italian Basketball Federation was founded, to the present day, the exhibition retraces the great triumphs and challenges of the men’s and women’s National Teams, the faces that defined an era and those already writing the future.
A thoughtfully curated exhibition route that brings together original memorabilia, historical images, digital installations and interactive stations.
It is more than an exhibition.
It is a story spanning a century.
It is the story of the basketball National Team, seen through the eyes of those who lived it, told it and loved it.
MUBIT can be easily reached from the main motorway exits and the ring road by following the signs for the city centre.
The area is close to the restricted traffic zone ”ZTL”, so it is important to check access times and entry points before arriving.
MUBIT is well connected by the city bus network, with several lines stopping in the surrounding streets and quick connections from the Central Station.
We recommend checking the latest timetables on the TPER service.
MUBIT is within walking distance of the Central Station and has bike racks and bike-sharing services nearby.
MUBIT can also be easily reached by taxi or via ride-sharing services available throughout the city.
